Lake/Forest Lake Bluff Chamber: Tell us a little bit about Assured Healthcare Staffing and what makes your business unique?
Leslie Kischer: For over 17 years Assured Healthcare has provided in-home care solutions that ensure the right fit for each of our clients. Our tagline, “We care for people” is evidenced by our longevity, and is reflected in the average tenure of our staff. On average, staffing agencies keep their talent for 10 weeks - Assured Healthcare’s employee tenure is over 2.5 years!
LF/LB: What was your inspiration pursue a career in healthcare?
LK: My mother is a Registered Nurse and an entrepreneur (she founded the company!). Her passion for caring for people was the magnet that drew me to the company and inspired me to stay and continue to care for people.
LF/LB: What is your vision or hope for the future of your business?
LK: I believe that we can care for people better. Our healthcare system is very complex and there is not a simple ‘How To’ book to make it easier to navigate. Our team continuously learns about benefits, resources, and agencies that help people to age in place and gives businesses the help they need when they need it most.
LF/LB: We appreciate your support of the ‘Then & Now’ Auto Show. Please tell us about why you feel it is important to be involved and support our community?
LK: We are excited to be part of this event as it’s been a personal favorite for years! Assured Healthcare is always looking for ways to give back to our community and be a resource for people who are navigating the healthcare system. Being a member of the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Chamber gives us visibility into local events and opportunities to support them.
LF/LB: Is there anything else you would like to share about your business?
LK: Assured Healthcare Staffing and Assured Care at Home offer help in the home, services to schools, and long-term care facilities. Some of the ways we can help:
• Post-Acute & Rehab Care: Supporting recovery after hospital stays or surgeries.
• Long-Term Care: Assistance with ADLs, providing stability and ongoing support.
• Skilled Nursing: Including wound care, medication administration, and vitals monitoring.
• Respite Care: Helping family caregivers take necessary breaks, ensuring their well being.
• Enrichment & Wellness: Engaging activities and routine check-ins to promote mental and physical well-being.
• Telehealth Visits: Scheduled check-ins via phone or video to monitor health and give peace of mind.
• School Nurses: Providing building nurses and 1:1 nurses for students and CNAs as student aides.
• Staffing: Staffing for facilities that need RNs, LPNs, and CNAs for any shift, long-term or short-term
